Triple P – Parenting

We believe that our relationship with parents should be a partnership and encompass multiple areas of care. We recognize there are other areas outside of immediate medical needs that parents sometimes need a little extra help with. This may include sleep issues, tantrums, parental conflict, responsible social media use, sibling conflict, following directions and completing tasks without push back. Dr. Jeansonne has spent extra time becoming accredited in the Triple P-Poistive Parenting Program to help with all of those things and more! You can think of it as “Coaching for parents” with regard to challenging child behaviors. The goal is to guide parents to utilize skills they already possess to correct unwanted behaviors in a positive manner. The program focuses on having a loving, safe and positive learning environment while maintaining discipline and realistic expectations for parents and children. It allows parents to set goals and put a plan in place to achieve those goals with the outcome of improved child behaviors.

Dr. J introduced us to the program when we had some behavioral concerns and we couldn’t be happier with the help she and the program provided. With the tools and techniques, we were able to intentionally slow down and plan how to parent our child in specific moments/blocks of his day. Dr. J helped us navigate consistency, conversations, rewards, and more as we worked through the process. We now use several ideas and techniques with our other children as well.

Such a great experience and as always, Dr. J was thorough and went above and beyond to help our family. I have highly recommended the program and Dr. J and will continue to do so!
